Home Improvement New Year’s Resolutions
Each new year we all make a series of resolutions to improve ourselves. These include the rule “to lose weight, get a better job, better father,” resolutions of transformation. Although often change their lives, but also very often left incomplete. This year, why not a little more pragmatic and make New Year’s resolutions to improve our homes?
Our homes are the places you spend most of our time, the ends of a number of important changes in the house could actually lead to a series of changes in personal lifestyle. So without further ado, here is a list of New Year’s resolutions for home improvements for you:
Make Your Home Green: This is not just jumping on the environment “green fashion.” Make your home more environmentally friendly not only helps the environment around us, but it can also save you money. There are several ways, large and small, retro-fit your home to be green. A small and easy to change is to replace all standard light bulbs for compact fluorescent lamps longer or LED lamps. These lamps are environmentally friendly and can be a homeowner to save about $ 50 per bulb lifetime. Another big difference a small change can do is install a pair of cheap solar panels for exterior lighting.
For those who have homes in cold climates, a major ecological change is the adaptation of your home for better insulation, which saves a lot of energy and heating costs in the long term. For those in warmer climates that are in constant maintenance and watering their gardens, artificial turf can see as well, but keep water bills and maintenance.
Assign an exercise room, all have a space in our home for entertainment – a couch potato heaven that the huge TV screen, a plush chair and table to put your feet up. That’s all swell, but what if you need to do physical activity? It is often difficult to build the motivation to keep up with a gym – we are always looking for excuses like “the gym is too far” and “I’m too tired before or after work.”
It’s time to throw away the excuses and a room in your home to designate as “jamming.” It may be a simple adjustment to another room, adding only a machine like a treadmill, Stairmaster and Bowflex. Or perhaps it may be an adaptation of a room by adding rugs or yoga, aerobics and a set of weights for strength training. Anyway, just call a room in your home exercise room “can often be motivated to come off the bench and physical training.
Dispose of their garbage, in conclusion: All rooms have in our homes filled with trash and useless junk. For many of us this room is the basement or garage, which serves as the burial box of old toys, broken pieces of equipment and furniture. This is not only unnecessary junk taking up space in your home that could be better utilized, but also takes up space in your head – leading to increased stress which can be avoided with a comprehensive collection project.
